My son Martyn and I like taking long walks at weekends. It helps me relax after working all week and he needs to chill out as he is a student and we all know how hard they work. Sometimes the weather is fine, other days we just get soaked, frozen or whatever. I always carry my camera for there is usually something interesting to photograph. A friend had asked to see some photos so I copied them to cd for him. I had also some posted some on an old website. Another friend asked why did I not just post them on the web. This is the result. I make no claim to being a good photographer - the images I post here were taken because I liked what I saw at the time. If you like them (or not) feel free to comment and if you want to use them go ahead. The picture below was taken at Bangor Marina a couple of weeks ago. It reminded me of the boat from the film Captain Ron

Never invite anyone to use your photos - they're very good so copyright them as you'd be pig sick if they turn up somewhere making someone else money or worse still someone else taking credit!!
Thanks for your comments anon. Copyright exists by the very fact that I've taken the photos in the first place - the fact that I've offered to let people use them doesn't alter that. I take them primarily for fun, not to make money, and if anyone likes them enough to use them I think that's great. Having said that if anyone were to use one or more I would appreciate being credited with having taken the picture, in a footnote maybe, or a comment on this blog to tell me where it(or they)were being used. Admittedly there are shady characters around who are not averse to claiming one's work as their own - such people are not put off by watermarks or disabled right clicks or any other trick used by photgraphers to protect their pictures. But no one will be more surprised than me if I see one of my photos making big money somewhere. For what it's worth the photos I'm posting here are Picasa2 edits/copies. The originals, complete with EXIF data, proving they are mine, are on my hard disc and backed up on CD :-)
