Oh Bugger!

I just spent the last hour (on and off) chatting to the nice BT helpline people. My broadband DSL signal has been disappearing in the evenings for the last 2 1/2 weeks or so. The whole thing went walkies for a week before deciding to turn itself back on again (possibly it was on holiday). I suspected it was a contention issue but had to go through all the uninstalling/reinstalling nonsense with the modem, computer, phone lines , microfilters etc. etc. before phoning them. Finally they agreed to run a line check which means no broadband for the next 2-5 days. My old dial up connection with DN@ (now UtvInternet) is still active so I'll be using it but it kind of puts paid to any fancy ideas I might have about posting photos. It has not been my week really - I had hoped to get out and about to get a lot of practice in with the new camera but it has rained every day- and now it isn't even worthwhile sitting in at the computer as dialup is so slow. Ah well, it's probably time to start reading a new book anyway
